Goal of the Activity

The Erasmus Generation in Action project (EGiA), supported by the European Parliament, aims to raise awareness about EU citizenship opportunities and foster active citizenship among European youth.

Main goals:

  • Increase awareness and uptake of benefits and opportunities for young people funded by the European Union as a means to increase the feeling of belonging to a community of citizens.
  • Increase active citizenship of young people around Europe to take part in civic, social and democratic processes.

The main goal of our event was to present the EGiA project to our network. To update them about the project phases ESN Hungary completed so far and our plans for the future.

Description

ESN Hungary’s Autumn National Assembly took place at the city of Baja between the 6-8th of October 2023.  The event was hosted by ESN UPS and ESN Pécs at the University of Public Service, Faculty of Water Sciences.

The EGiA project was presented on the 7th of October, focusing on the 4 phases:

  1. Needs Assessment on EU Opportunities for Young People
  2. The Erasmus Generation as Changemakers for Europe
  3. Engaging Europe with the Opportunities of the EU
  4. Erasmus vote for EUrope

The participants talked about how to engange and inform EU citizens about their opportunities and had a brainstorming session where they could share their ideas about future events that could relate to the project.
