participants
Our goal was increasing awareness about visual disabilities.
All participants got they eyes covered before the entrance, so they had to move to their seats blindfolded. They got some snacks and could talk with each other. Then we gave them in a few rounds different kinds of vegetables/fruits/spices. They had to guess what they have in front of them.
Then we played two games with them:
1. They had to draw a few things we told them.
2. The had to walk a parkour in groups.
After this games we had a feedback round. All participants could share they feelings and thoughts about being blindfolded. Also they could ask our guest, a real blind student, some questions.
All participants talked about how it was not to see anything. They talked about their feelings during the event. Also to have someone who is really blind helped them to increase more sympathy for those people. The participants were thankful for this kind of experience.
