The goal was to tinker together with elderly people who live in a senior residence. Meanwhile this activity an intercultural dialogue was supported.
We tinkered together with ESNers, international and Erasmus students as well as elderly people who live in the senior residence Christmas decorations. We represented as a highlight of their daily routines due to the fact that it is an exception that students or younger persons visit them. Furthermore we helped them by tinkering so that they could take their own products to their rooms. During this activity an intercultural dialogue was supported. On the one hand it was really interesting for the seniors to get to know international students and to see that mobility is nowadays so much easier than it was in the past. On the other hand the students got to know local people and helped them so that they could do something good before Christmas. :)
The result of the activity was a nice morning together with international students and elderly people with international dialogues. Furthermore nice Christmas decorations were created. Additionally it was a special event for the elderly people with which we could make them happy and feel appreciated.
