The goal of this activity was to introduce international students to christmas traditions in Split while making christmas tree decorations to be sold at the charity flee market.
With the cooperation of Studentski Centar Split and Association Vasko Lipovac, we made christmas decorations using the decoupage technique. The workshop was lead by a local painter Jagoda Kecman who helped us with combining various designs.
We achieved intercultural and interreligious exchange as most of our Erasmus participants were Turkish muslims, and they expressed interest in learning more about Christmas and our traditions surrounding this holiday. All the decorations made at this workshop were sold at A di si ti? charity flee market which is organized by Association MoSt, and all the money earned at the market was donated to them with the purpose of providing food, healthcare and shelter to the local homeless.
