Our goal was to show the city of Venice during the carnival period. We prepared a city tour for our erasmus students, we also explained the traditions of the carnival in Italy, making them clear why Venice is so important for the carnival culture.
we started our city tour with the visit of Basilica di San Paolo. In the meanwhile we showed the Sestrieri (the districts of Venice), streets and squares. The tour finished in Piazza San Marco with the "Volo dell'Aquila", a typical event of the last sunday of carnival period and the explanation of the traditional carnival. Then we ate in the typical inns.
The erasmus were very satisfied, happy and enthusiastic of this trip. They discovered the beauty of the italian carnival, the characteristic places and tyoical food.
