The event was made as a collaboration between NGOs to spread awareness about how can people help the children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer. We had a stand and we encouraged the visitors to donate for those children and this association. For a minimum donation, we thanked them with a little gift provided by the Little People Association.
The event was made to inform people about the activity of the Little People Association Romania. Their main goal is to offer child and teenage cancer patients the support each one of them needs. Today, the Association provides the field of pediatric oncology from Romania and the Republic of Moldova with a whole range of high-quality services, daily psychosocial support programs for patients, complex events for the young cancer survivors, professionalism in volunteer coordination, material support for the hospital wards through playroom renovation projects, donations of medical equipment and acquisition of hard-to-find medicine, as well as constant concern and involvement from a highly dedicated team.
A lot of interested students came to donate without taking gifts. They simply wanted to make a good deed. All the donators were informed about the Association's activity and some of them were interested in becoming volunteers.
