Objective / Goal of the activity
Let the international students experience a bit of Austrian culture through an Austrian movie night.
Description
In order for the students to also get to know a different facet of Austria, we decided to introduce them to Austrian humour. In order to do so we chose the Austrian movie "Der Knochenmann". A movie that originally started out as a book by Wolf Haas and was later on turned into a movie. While it’s a crime movie there are also aspects of Comedy to it (though they are more on the darker side of things). We also provided snacks for the students on a donation basis.
Result of the activity
The students seemed to enjoy the movie and for some of them it was the first Austrian movie they had ever gotten to watch. The snacks were also very well received.
