The main goal of this activity was to let students who speak different languages meet each other so they can learn the preferred language from one another.
Would you like to make your period in Amsterdam even more enriching? Always wanted to learn a new language or improve one you already know? Would you like to engage in an exchange of languages? Then the Language Exchange Program is something for you!
It is meant for students who may have picked up a language while traveling, think a particular language sounds interesting and want to learn a bit, or maybe students who learned a language in school but have since forgotten most of it… Basically for anyone who enjoys speaking, teaching and learning a certain language and interacting with fellow students.
Is this something for you? Sign-ups open on the 16th of September and close on the 8th of October. Based on your language preference and language skills, ISN Amsterdam will match you up (granted that we can find a match for your language preference). You will hear about your partner(s) on the 14th of October at the latest via e-mail. You will then also receive further details on the first language exchange partner meet-up we organize for you to meet your partner(s) and to start of your exchange of languages just right. This meet-up will take place on Tuesday the 15th of October.
Don’t necessarily want to learn a language but want to teach? Don’t necessarily want to teach a language but want to learn? No worries, we will try our best find you a suitable language partner!
Students will have met their language partner and are given information on how to go about learning from one another.
