The goal of the activity was to update Erasmus students on the, at the time, on-going situation of the Corona virus (Covid19). Since one of our missions as ESNers is to make sure Erasmus students have all the information they need and feel safe even during hard times, we shared a list of vital information about the regulations of the second phase of the pandemic. We also left an open box for any kind of questions and concerns they might come across.
"Italy in a nutshell" was created to share with our international students some notions about the italian culture. Every week we published some instagram stories to talk about italian music, cinema, gestures etc, and we used quiz to test their knowledge about our culture.
We participated in the Green Month initiative, proposed by ESN Italy, to raise awareness among international students about the environmental issue. Our section feels a lot about this topic because it is located in a city built on the sea. So, we need to have even more attention on our daily behavior.
The Erasmus Genoa Group participated in the ASL3 fundraising campaign intended exclusively for the health purpose of containing Covid-19.
Every year in Genoa there are about 700 International and Erasmus students, our motto is "Students Helping Students", for this as in many other times we transform it into "Students Helping People".
All together to fight this tough battle.
The associations of students of the University of Piemonte Orientale, 6023 Ets, Jeupo Ets and ESN Piemonte Orientale took the initiative to support the hospitals in the area by launching a fundraising campaign: "Together with Upo vs covid 19".
Staying at home is not enough, because the emergency we are facing now puts a strain on hospitals and medical staff in our area. Since we cannot do their job, it is imperative for us to help them have the best working conditions.
Therefore this campaign addresses everyone, because we are in this together. Solidarity, too, can be contagious.
Donations will be used by foundation Franca Capurro per Novara Onlus to provide local hospitals with medical equipment.
The goal of the activity was to raise awareness of the discrimination towards the LGBT community. With this aim, we firstly promoted an awareness campaign on our social media, inviting then our Erasmus to join the section in a movie night (shared via Netflix Party) on the topic. We displayed "Call me by your name".
The activity consisted in a Movie Night focused on the topic of Autism: in fact, we celebrated the International Day of Autism by launching a shared movie night with Netflix Party following an awareness campaign that we published on our social media (Instagram stories, as you can see in the pictures shared with Drive). We showed "The lighthouse of orcas", and after that we used Meet to cover the topic in detail and answer our Erasmus' questions.
The goal of the activity was to raise more funds for the local major hospital, the Policlinico of Modena, in order to sustain the Health system fighting the COVID19 pandemia. For this reason, we organized a campaign through the notorius website gofundme and we keep it sponsoring on our social media. All donations are anonimous in order to guarantee the maximum privacy.
Educate about the impact of personal food choice on ecological footprint and how to reduce it throught a series of instagram stories spread during the week, with data and plant-based recipe suggestions in collaboration with giada_verde, an instagram account dedicated to this topic. At the end of the week we had an online aperitif using Google Meet where we talked about what sustainable aperitif food we had prepared and played a quiz on ecological footprint and sustainable lifestyle.
