Description of the event:
Everything started with an offer to cooperate with OZ Mareena on house reconstruction in Výčapy – Opatovce. Some of us already know this family, so decision was easily made and we said „YES“. In the morning it was raining a little, but when we came on the place it was getting better.

When we arrived to the house we were welcomed by smiling lady named Maryam, who introduced us her husband Yasir and their four children Mary, Habeeb, Mirna and Sara. After introduction we changed our clothes, had a little briefing with Yasir and we went to work.

As first we moved iron to one place and prepare it for recyclation. Work went really well and fast so we moved to another challenge. Yasir showed us a big amount of wood, which was needed to sort and useless wood move to one place for transport. There was quite much work, but everything was done really fast and without problems with all of these amazing people.

Meanwhile we were working, Maryan with her children prepared for us iraqi specialities, cakes, coffe and tea to get new power. All of us loved it, because after few minutes there was no evidence about cakes.

We continued with wood work and moving cupboard from garage to house. We got little bit sweat after moving cupboards, but everything was good and we were praised by Yasir.

Several minutes after Maryam was coming with offer of lunch on which we were looking forward. Food was amazing and together with cakes, which were made by the oldest daughter Mary, we felt like in heaven. Erasmus students many times said, food is like from my mum.

Fulfilled from lunch we went to finnish wood work. At that time, we had to put out all the nails from wood and stack it for future use. When everything was done, tired but happy, it was a time to go home. The biggest satisfaction for us was a smile and big thank from all members of family.
