The contestants are split into teams. Each team starts on a different station where another game is played - whisper challenge, mime, Activity with blindfolds, Alias and game of touch. Each game makes the participants experience how does it feel not being able to see, hear, speak or explain themselves. After 10 minutes on a specific station, all the teams are rotating in the same direction and they are starting to play a different game on another station. We are counting each term the team has guessed on a specific station and in the end the team with the higgest score wins the prize.
The participants experienced different difficulties people with disabilities are facing every day. Many of them were surprised and some of them were even annoyed by how some things were hard to explain. In order to this I would say the goal was achieved and that the participants developed empathy towards people with disabilities. Furthermore, the event was fun, people from different countries needed to play together and cooperate as a team. This way we encouraged intercultural dialogue.
