Description of the event:
It is no wonder you probably never really associated Austria with football because well, what we are really famous for doesn’t happen on a green field... but on white slopes. And what better way is there to experience Austria’s national sport than watching a thrilling ski race? And not just any race, BUT the very first one of the skiing season!
Still not convinced? It takes place every year at the end of October on the Rettenbach glacier in the lovely Ötztal valley at an altitude of 2,610 metres. So this event is the ultimate opportunity to watch a (or maybe your first ever?) ski race in a unique location together with awesome people – and who knows, maybe it’s the very first time you set foot on a glacier, too! Bring a flag to support your home country, your favourite Erasmus buddy, warm clothes (!!!) and – what Austrians would say to describe that something is going to be really awesome – des werd voll die Gaudi!
