Description of the event: 
Hiking Trip in Serra da Lousã, a mountain nearby Coimbra city.
This trip embraced physical activity, nature and respect for the environment, while encountering hidden wonders of Portugal - Schist Villages (Aldeias de Xisto).
The trip consisted on hiking on rails inside the mountain, accessing the famous villages by foot and sleeping in a typical schist house.
On Sunday (25th November), the Captain of Lousã Firefighters gave an informative session to the group, raising awareness about forest fires, forest protection and safety tips for hiking.

How did they contribute to the event: 
The captain of the Municipal Firefighters of Lousã joined the Hiking Trip on sunday morning to raise awareness about the protection of the forest and the environment, focusing mainly on forest fires, one of the catastrophes that devastates portuguese forests every summer.
Besides thats, he also presented useful tips about hiking in safety in the moutains.
