Description of the event:
In order to know more about the gastronomical culture of the countries of our international students, a match game was proposed. In this game, one international student is matched randomly with one ESN member, and the pair must cook two dishes, each corresponding to the country of the other member of the duo. For instance, a duo made by a Finnish student and a Spanish student will have the Finnish student cooking a Spanish dish and the Spanish student will cook a Finnish dish, so everyone gets to know a new thing!
The matches were made radomly, only considering the case with allergies as exception. After the raffle, everyone willing to participate was contacted individually with the contact information of their corresponding match.
The 6th of May all the dishes were presented as a fair at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Cantabria, and were available to the local public by a symbolic price. With all the money collected we contacted Cocina Económica (see below) and bought alongside them fresh food for the ones in need in Cantabria.

How did they contribute to the event:
Cocina Económica is a well-known NGO in Cantabria, being their main purpose distributing food in social lunchrooms. They helped us buying the food with what we got from the sales at the fair we did at the Faculty of Economics.
Additional Comments / Outcome of the activity:
The activity was one of the best received in ESN Santander, specially by the people who did the activity at the fullest, that is, matches cooking together (even in groups organized by them).
The Dean of the Faculty of Economics also wanted to participate in the fair, going as far as encouraging us to make the event again. Needless to say, they also allowed us to use some materials at the Faculty to set up the fair.
