Description of the event:
In order to introduce the situation of women in different environments, aimed towards celebrating Women's Day, we watched a film and held a chatroom.

The film chosen was Carmen y Lola (Carmen and Lola), in which two teenage gypsies from the outskirts of Madrid have to deal with the stereotypes surrounding gypsies in Spain, specially noteworthy for women, as well as the opposition of their families towards their homosexuality.

After the film, we held a chatroom with a member of the Área de Igualdad, Conciliación y Responsabilidad Social de la Universidad de Cantabria (Area of Equality, Conciliation and Social Responsibility of the University of Cantabria) regarding the situation of women in other countries, mostly the countries of each international student.
