To showcase the beauty of Siena and its monuments at international students arrived in the city
During the Welcome Week of the first semester 2021/2022 we could organize a free city tour of Siena for our Erasmus students just arrived in town, thanks to University of Siena and with the sponsorship of the Agenzia Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario (ARDSU) of Tuscany. The city tour was lead by professional guides that, starting from the Basilica of San Domenico, lead the students through the city, showing the beauty of Duomo, Piazza del Campo, Torre del Mangia, Piazza del Mercato and any more monuments. The city tour was made in three different languages (English, Spanish and German) and the students divided into three different groups, so to have the chance to understand pretty well the history of the city and also in respect of Covid-19 restrictions to avoid gathering. The staff of ESN Siena GES followed the city tour and provided a welcome kit to the Erasmus students, consisting of a tote bag and a reusable water bottle, thanks also to the sponsor of ARDSU.
