Remember the holocaust and the terrible things that happened during that time - and which can happen again if we forget and close our eyes in the face of inequality, fascism, and hatred.
At the Dachau concentration camp Memorial, we learned more about the darkest chapter of German history. Everyone probably knows about the horrible things that happened in concentration camps, but it is an entirely different experience to learn about it at the actual site. At a lot of German schools it is mandatory to visit a KZ memorial as part of the curriculum and we wanted to offer our international students that opportunity as well. We rented audio guides (you could choose the language) that gave us information about the KZ Dachau as well as accounts by historical witnesses. This way everyone could take their time to walk around and explore the memorial and history.
