The associations of students of the University of Piemonte Orientale, 6023 Ets, Jeupo Ets and ESN Piemonte Orientale took the initiative to support the hospitals in the area by launching a fundraising campaign: "Together with Upo vs covid 19".
Staying at home is not enough, because the emergency we are facing now puts a strain on hospitals and medical staff in our area. Since we cannot do their job, it is imperative for us to help them have the best working conditions.
Therefore this campaign addresses everyone, because we are in this together. Solidarity, too, can be contagious.
Donations will be used by foundation Franca Capurro per Novara Onlus to provide local hospitals with medical equipment.
The objective of the project was to collaborate together with other Associations, local students and international students in order to join our forces together in a difficult moment and to collaborate so we could have done the difference together and collect money to donate to the hospitals to buy medical equipment.
The associations were able to collect 4,522.77 euros. The donations were paid through the Franca Capurro Foundation which bought three Body Temperature Scanners and delivered them to the hospitals of Novara, Alessandria and Vercelli.
