Day trip to Tampere from Helsinki
ESN Uni Helsinki invites you on a trip to Tampere, a city full of vibrant culture, stunning lakes, and iconic industrial heritage 🌆❤
Tampere is one of Finland's largest cities and a historical center of industry and arts. Known for its beautiful red-brick buildings, bustling Market Hall, and scenic Tammerkoski Rapids, Tampere has something for everyone. Don’t miss the views from Pyynikki Observation Tower, or the chance to walk the city’s lively streets filled with cafés, shops, and hidden gems! 🌲🏛🌞
Our programme in Tampere will start by having lunch together at the Tampere University student restaurant, followed by an exciting city challenge organised for us by ESN FINT, a local section in Tampere. Then you will have free time to explore the city and we will end the day together in a bar with some karaoke!
Important logistics information
For this day trip you will need to book your own train tickets but the programme in Tampere will be free once you have signed up for this event.
ESN Team will take the 9.03 - 10.53 Pendolino 93 train. We will meet in front of the Helsinki railway station at 8.45 and take the train together! In case you want to take another form of transportation or a different train you can meet us at Tampere railway station at 11.00
Trains back to Helsinki from Tampere will run until 22.35
Bring comfortable and warm clothes & footwear.
