Skiing Trip to Åre

Kick off the semester with an unforgettable trip to Åre, Sweden! You will get the proper Norwegian student skiing trip-experience, as a lot of different Norwegian student organisations also organise trips to Åre at the same time!

Åre is home to the largest ski resort in all of Scandinavia! Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced skier, Åre offers huge variety with more than 90 slopes for all levels, modern lifts, great après-ski, and stunning mountain views🌄

Off the slopes, you’ll find a lively student-friendly village with cozy cafés, restaurants, and après-ski! This is the ultimate chance to experience a true Scandinavian winter, meet new people and make new friends for your upcoming semester in Trondheim!🕺

Ticket prices:

• Ticket with ESNcard: 4200 NOK
• Ticket without ESNcard: 4500 NOK

PS: You can buy your trip ticket with ESNcard even if you don’t have your card yet — just make sure to get your ESNcard before departure so it’s valid for the trip :)

Add-on option available for purchase: Rent bed linen and a towel (195 NOK). This is an add-on option to the ticket, so remember to include it in your ticket order if you want to add this option (otherwise, remember to bring your own :)

The ticket includes bus transport from Trondheim and back, four nights in lodges in Tegefjäll and Ski-card for four days in all slopes! There are also great opportunities for After Ski (après-ski) ;)

Meals/food is not included in the price, because we wanted to make the trip as affordable as possible. However, you will stay in lodges with access to your own kitchen, where you can cook your own food :) This way, food doesn't have to be more expensive than it would have been at home anyways!

Departure & Important trip information:

We will depart early in the morning to make the most of our time in the slopes. This way, we get 5 days of skiing instead of 4!

There will be two pickup points: 

• Hovedbygningen at Gløshaugen: 07:30
• Rema 1000 Moholt: 07:45

Please make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure at your chosen pickup point to allow time for check-in, luggage loading, and boarding. The bus will leave on time, so late arrivals cannot be waited for.

We will also depart from Åre at around 17:00 on the return day (29th of January), so you’ll have time to enjoy the slopes that day before heading home :)

More information will be given to those with a ticket closer to departure. 

Remember to bring:

• Your ESNcard (if you bought your trip with ESNcard)
• Valid ID/passport
• Personal ski equipment (if you’re bringing your own)
• Warm clothing and anything else you might need during your stay :)
