Goal of the Activity
- The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness among international students about mental health and encourage discussion about well-being within our community.
- Through surveys and participatory stories, we hope to identify students' real needs, share reliable resources (particularly those from Nightline France) and promote seeking help without stigma.
- The feedback gathered will help guide future initiatives by the Health, Well-being and Environment team to develop actions that are even more tailored to the expectations of international students.
Description
- ESN Paris's ‘Let's Talk About Mental Health’ programme aims to raise awareness and listen to international students about well-being and mental health.
- Over two weeks, four surveys and four ‘resource’ stories will be published on Instagram to address these topics in a participatory and caring manner. The polls will gather students' feelings and expectations through simple, open-ended questions, such as:
- What does mental health mean to you?
- How do you take care of your mental health?
- What kind of activity would help you improve your well-being? (e.g. stress management workshops, sports sessions, relaxation, online resources, etc.)
- What are your main sources of stress? (exams, finances, social relationships, etc.)
- What would help you feel more comfortable talking about mental health?
- Each story will then offer practical advice and resources, including those from Nightline France and its English-language helpline.
-
A partner psychologist will be on hand at the end of the campaign to answer questions and encourage dialogue.
- This initiative, led by Léonie and Élisa from the Health, Well-being and Environment team and Justine, head of the Communications department, aims to create an open space for discussion and lay the foundations for future initiatives dedicated to the well-being of international students.
