Goal of the Activity
Make a positive impact by cleaning our coastline and raise environmental awareness.
Description
Ostia Clean Up and Europaiamo organized a clean up session on the beaches of Lido di Ostia. Together with our Erasmus students we participated in a collective cleaning activity to collect waste such as plastic, glass or cigarette butts, left on the sand or brought by the sea, thus helping to protect the environment and marine fauna.
Outcomes
- We reduced pollution, less waste that could end up in the sea.
- We met new people and joined a group of people motivated to generate positive change.
- We learned something new: during the clean-up we found out how waste impacts the coastal and marine environment. We saw with your own eyes what kind of impact the objects we use every day have.
