Provide international students with a unique opportunity to experience European classical ballet through a live performance of Manon at the Slovak National Theatre. The activity aims to foster intercultural dialogue, promote cultural integration into the local community, and support experiential learning by immersing participants in a high-quality artistic environment. Additionally, the event encourages appreciation of European cultural heritage and strengthens social bonds among participants through a shared cultural experience.
In collaboration with ESN EU Bratislava, we organized a cultural evening for international students at the Slovak National Theatre, where participants attended a live performance of Manon.
The group met at a central point and entered the theatre together, creating a shared experience from the very beginning. The formal dress code added to the atmosphere and allowed participants to fully engage with the elegance of the event.
This activity provided students with the opportunity to explore European culture through performing arts while strengthening social connections in an international environment. It supported their integration into the local community and offered a unique cultural experience beyond their everyday student life.
Outcomes
The event successfully engaged international students in a high-quality cultural experience at the Slovak National Theatre. Participants appreciated the opportunity to attend a classical ballet performance such as Manon, which many experienced for the first time.
The collaboration with ESN EU Bratislava strengthened inter-sectional cooperation and increased the event’s reach. The formal setting and shared participation contributed to a memorable atmosphere and supported social bonding and cultural integration.
