The Neuschwanstein Castle is very famous for being the model for the Disney castle. Each semester, we plan a trip there to show it to international students. This semester, we will hike up the castle and get some physical activity on Easter.
Close to the city of Füssen, the castle Neuschwanstein emerges in idyllic surroundings. Once a place of retreat for Bavarian King Ludwig II, also known as the „fairy-tale king“, this masterpiece invites you to step into your own fairy tale... 👑💫
Please note: We will hike up to the scenic viewpoint "Marienbrücke". The hike will take 3-4 hours, so please come prepared!
Please note that we won’t be entering the castle itself, as its beauty is best appreciated from the outside, and according to previous student groups, the inside tour is not worth it. 😉 The views and outside scenery are what most people are visiting for. 🌄
IMPORTANT:
- wear comfortable shoes that are suitable for hiking
- bring enough to drink and something to eat for the way
- bring warm clothes, as it might be colder on higher levels!
- get ready to visit one of the most iconic places in all of Germany!! 🏰
