Goal of the Activity

To introduce participants to Milan’s cultural and artistic heritage through a guided visit of the Cimitero Monumentale, combining historical insight with exploration of one of the city's most unique and visually striking landmarks.

Description

Two guided visits were held at the Cimitero Monumentale di Milano, on April 6th and April 27th. Participants explored this exceptional site, known as one of the most remarkable cemeteries in the world, both for its artistic value and historical significance. The tour highlighted notable tombs, including the one of Alessandro Manzoni, while showcasing impressive 19th- and 20th-century funerary sculptures and architecture. The activity offered a mix of cultural discovery, local history, and a touch of atmospheric intrigue, much appreciated by attendees.
