- To connect mobile and non-mobile students and foster mutual understanding. To identify real barriers to student mobility and propose practical solutions. To promote Erasmus+ and other EU mobility programmes. To highlight the role of mobility in developing European identity and active citizenship. To create dialogue between students, universities and other representatives.
“Let’s Build our EUtopia!” was a one-day event held in Łódź, bringing together students, university representatives and EU-level stakeholders to explore the topic of student mobility from multiple perspectives. The activity aimed to connect students who had participated in mobility programmes with those who had not, creating space for dialogue, reflection and mutual understanding.
The programme combined informative presentations and interactive elements. Provided inputs focused on the benefits, challenges and stereotypes related to mobility, as well as the role of Erasmus+ and other EU programmes in shaping European identity and active citizenship.
Participants also took part in interactive workshops and discussion panels. Working in mixed groups, they identified key barriers to student mobility and developed ideas for a more inclusive and accessible system — referred to as “EUtopia”. The event concluded with a plenary session where participants shared outcomes and reflections.
Outcomes
Increased awareness of mobility opportunities among non-mobile students. Reduced stereotypes around Erasmus+ and international mobility. Strengthened cooperation between students, universities and EU institutions. Collection of concrete ideas and recommendations for improving mobility accessibility. Creation of a basis for future advocacy and cooperation activities
