Goal of the Activity

The initiative aims to provide international students with the basic linguistic tools necessary to navigate daily life in their host city with greater autonomy and confidence. The primary goal is to break down initial communication barriers by teaching practical expressions for common situations, such as ordering at a café or shopping. Through this "survival" language class, the event seeks to facilitate social and cultural integration, reducing language-related stress and encouraging direct interaction with the local community. Furthermore, the activity promotes the ESN House as a hub for non-formal learning and continuous support, strengthening the bond between members and the association from the very beginning of their stay.

Description

The Italian Survival Class is an interactive workshop designed to welcome international students and introduce them to the basics of the Italian language in a dynamic and fun way. The activity focuses on acquiring practical vocabulary and key expressions for daily life, turning learning into a moment of sharing and engagement. Held at the ESN House, the event allows participants to gain confidence in their everyday interactions and connect with their peers, laying the groundwork for a better understanding of the local culture and facilitating a smooth transition into their new social environment.
