This destination was chosen because it represents one of the emblematic sites of the Breton coast, renowned for its magnificent landscapes. However, this site remains little known to international students and is difficult to access by public transport from Brest. Many students do not have their own means of transportation, making it difficult for them to get there on their own. This stay will also offer students an opportunity to meet new people and thus foster cohesion and team spirit. Furthermore, this event will allow the association to strengthen solidarity among its volunteers and improve exchanges with international students. Exchange students generally show great interest and strong motivation to participate in this type of project. We will be staying at the Le Grand Large campsite in Camaret/Mer and various activities will be organized: - Surfing lessons - Various hikes (Penn Hir, Ile Vierge, etc.) - Birdwatching excursions with a specialist - Beach cleanups - Outdoor and/or indoor team building games
Outcomes
This stay in Camaret-sur-Mer, in the heart of the Breton coast, allowed international students to discover an iconic and unspoiled site, often difficult to access without personal transportation. Organized by the association, it fostered group cohesion, intercultural encounters, and solidarity between volunteers and students. The varied activities—surfing, hiking, bird watching, beach cleanup, and group games—offered a balance of discovery, environmental commitment, and relaxation. The participants' feedback was unanimously positive: they praised the excellent organization, the friendly atmosphere, and the richness of the human interactions. Many expressed their desire to repeat the experience and become more involved in the association. This project thus fully achieved its objectives: to promote Breton heritage, promote the integration of international students, and strengthen the collective dynamic around the values of sharing and openness.
