Goal of the Activity

This is a hands-on, interactive workshop where you will learn the basics of first aid in a simple and practical way. After a short introduction, you will have the opportunity to try your skills in realistic scenarios, working with actors who will simulate injuries using fake wounds.

It’s a great opportunity to learn how to react in emergency situations, gain confidence, and experience first aid in a safe and fun environment.

Description

Fun First Aid Workshop organized for Erasmus students by ESN Rijeka and the Red Cross Society of Primorsko Goranska County. In this hands-on interactive workshop participants learnt the basics of taking care of certain kinds of wounds(burn wound, splinter and open bleeding), they refreshed their memory of accessing whether an environment is safe for them to help, how to resuscitate someone and perform CPR. 

Outcomes

The participants and volunteers gave great feedback, said it was very helpful and indeed fun. The event will have be repeated in the next semester as well if all conditions will be met.
