Goal of the Activity

The objective of the Erice–Marsala Trip, organized by ESN Palermo on the 30th of November 2025, was to promote cultural discovery, experiential learning, and social integration of Erasmus students through a day trip in Western Sicily. The activity aimed to showcase the natural and cultural heritage of the region, encourage intercultural dialogue among participants, and strengthen their connection with the local territory by allowing them to explore historic towns and landscapes outside Palermo in an informal and engaging way.

Description

On the 30th of November 2025, ESN Palermo organized the Erice–Marsala Trip. The group met early in the morning and departed by bus from Palermo Centrale Station at 8:00 AM, arriving in Erice at around 10:00 AM. In Erice, participants visited the Castle of Erice and then enjoyed free time to walk around the village, discovering its narrow streets, historic atmosphere, and panoramic views. Around midday, the group departed for Marsala, where they explored the city center and experienced the local urban environment. In the afternoon, the trip continued to the Saline dello Stagnone, where participants admired the natural landscape and watched the sunset. At around 6:00 PM, the group returned to the bus and headed back to Palermo, arriving at approximately 8:00 PM, concluding a full day dedicated to cultural exploration and shared experiences.
