The main goal of "Cook It Off" is to strengthen the sense of community between local and Erasmus+ students by creating an inclusive and collaborative environment. The activity promotes intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding through a culinary competition in which 10 international teams prepare traditional dishes from their home countries. By encouraging teamwork, social exchange, and interaction with the academic community, the event supports social integration and enhances social and cultural awareness among participants.
The “Cook It Off” culinary competition brought together 10 teams, most of them composed of Erasmus+ students and residents of the university housing estate. Each three-person team had one hour to prepare a dish for evaluation by the jury and later tasting by the participants. The dishes were judged by professional chefs, university authorities, and representatives of the housing estate. Attractive prizes, sponsored by ESN PB, IRO PB, and the Białystok University of Technology housing estate, were prepared for the winning teams.
