Goal of the Activity
Our goal was to showcase the archeological and natural wonders of the Aventino district in Rome.
Description
Our visit started on the Isola Tiberina, telling students about its rich history and the myths surrounding it. We then visited the ruins of the Foro Boario, la Bocca della Verità , il Circo Massimo with its incredible capacity (it could hold up to 300000 spectators!), the city's rose garden with its sad history as a cemetery and the famous Giardino degli Aranci, which surprised everyone with its optical illusion. Students had a chance to enjoy the different monuments while we provided some backstory and fun facts.
