Poland
participants
The primary goal was to empower participants to handle various types of crises by equipping them with a unique blend of soft skills (non-violent communication) and hard skills (medical first aid).
An additional goal was to transform passive learning into community-driven goals through the use of a physical "commitment wall".
- "Act for Change" was organised as the local phase of the "Voices of Change" grant project.
- The event featured a comprehensive seminar focused on non-violent communication, led by a certified trainer. This was followed by a practical first aid workshop facilitated by a representative from IFMSA-Poland. To provide a local context, activists from the No Hate Foundation and IQARUS were invited to share their experiences in supporting vulnerable groups. The activity concluded with an interactive commitment wall where participants outlined their personal goals for "Acting for change" within their communities.
Outcomes
The project successfully combined a global initiative with impactful local action. It integrated specialised local experts and grassroots activists to address both emotional and physical community needs. The initiative significantly strengthened the section's image as a socially responsible organisation committed to civic engagement and community well-being. The event successfully equipped participants with a unique blend of soft and hard skills.
